How old was DC when you let them have fast food(Mcdonalds, burger king, wendys)

We haven't taken DD yet out for fast food, to grab a happy meal at McDonalds, or burger king or wendys and I remember doing that all the time as a kid. DD is almost 17 months, is she still too young?

John has one one wendy's burger and fries at around 18 months I guess... hasn't had anything since. .im not opposed to it.. but we just dont eat it..if there is a party at a mcdonalds i'd feed him the food without an issue.

We haven't give the boys fast food yet (16mo). I am trying to hold off until they are older. They aren't particularly healthy eaters to begin with, so I don't want to make things worse. If we are out at a restaurant, we will let them try what we are eating.

Uhhhh...DS is 11 months and had an entire McDonald's hamburger (minus bun) the other night! (ETA: and it wasn't his first one either ) In our defense, he does have two older sisters and it was a special treat for them too...

My DS started eating McD french fries just before 2yo. My DH and I eat fast food, but we don't really like to give it to DS. Yes, we are hypocrites.

We've bought nuggets and burgers, and he doesn't like them. It's just the fries he wants, so we share some of ours with him.

Around 2 and I get the kids a happy meal every 2 or 3 weeks.

We don't really don't eat fast food so DD (almost 2) hasn't had any as of yet. I mean, she's had burgers before...just the homemade kind

I can’t exactly remember. I want to say it was around two.

She’s been to Wendy’s maybe twice? Mickey D’s at tops about 4 times and never been to Burger King. When she was old enough to love Apples sliced we took her to McDonalds a couple times. It was Wendy’s for the mandarin oranges.

I remember usually just giving her the fruit options while Jim tried to give her fries. We always felt the fries were too salty though. Wendy’s fries were the only ones I’d sort of ok with. It wasn’t until after 2 did she go and get chicken nuggets and that’s only been about twice at McDonald’s. I remember stopping at Wendy’s once on our way back from visiting my Dad (out of state) for nuggets.

We personally don’t eat at those places, so its pretty easy to keep her away. Our burger joints are a little more ‘adult’ in nature meaning no playground or kids meals. We like old fashioned greasy backyard type burgers that look like my dad made them LOL so generally those types of places give us tatter tots for her and some fish sticks.

Tho, I will admit she’s been to Sonic a few times for grilled cheese sandwich and apples!

Probably around a year old. DD is three now but on the rare occasion we have fast food, like McDonalds, I always get her the Happy Meal with the plain milk, plain cheeseburger, and apple slices and she is in heaven. She will have 4-5 of our fries but she's happy with her fruit and milk which is good, I feel less guilty about letting her eat that delicious cr@p!

never. he's almost 2. and it's not something *I* ever plan on doing with him. parties are one thing and he'll go if invited, but no. not something I am doing as a regular meal. ever.

but I haven't had fast food in years. so it's so out of my normal routine anyway I don't think either of us will miss anything.

ETA: I just realized this is not true. my dh took him to sonic upstate and he had "grilled chicken and french fries".

it will not happen again.

DD is 21 months old. She just had Mcdonalds for the first time a couple of weeks ago. She had some fries and a couple of nuggets she wasnt a big fan.LOL

With Kaydyn she was prob about 18months when she had her first fast food meal. She would have fries here and there.

Ainsley has had fast food since about 1yo b/c we get it for Kaydyn and she would have some.

They get fast food about once a week.

Close to 3--he's been to Burger King and McDonalds, but we don't go to either regularly. He doesn't like fries, so he gets the apple fries, no sauce, chicken nuggets and milk (plain). Not great, but I don't think it's the worst meal in the world either.

Pizza I consider fast food too, and that he has been eating since about 2, probably a few times before that for bday parties.

I think around 2. We made sure the meal came with milk and apples. Now we have it once and a while.

As soon as he started on solids I let him have McDonalds fries.

I'm not a big fast food eater anymore so it's a rare occassion that DS gets it, but once in a while I'll allow him to have the fries or chicken nuggets.

Never. He's 25 months.

DH and I don't eat that type of food and we will not feed it to our son.

Personal preference, of course.

My kids 2.5 (twins) and 3.5 years old are yet to have fast food. It just hasn't come up.
