my DD is 18mos and has had fries & nuggets from wendys & mcdonalds. she has had it 4 times since she turned a year. it's very rare that we eat it so i don't mind giving it to her for the once in a blue moon that DH & I eat it.

Pizza I consider fast food too, and that he has been eating since about 2, probably a few times before that for bday parties.
I don't think it's the food so much as the establishment. My son has fries and burgers. but I make them. he also has them from mom and pop establishments that make them fresh.
a freshly made pizza is not fast food. it's just prepared quickly.
I consider places that sell pre cooked/frozen food to be fast food. places that use a ton of preservatives and treat the food in a certain way so that it lasts and is more appealins (ala Mickey D's french fries)
I don't consider the pizza I make at home fast food either. just a quickly made dinner.

I try to only feed natural foods to my boys. That said, they have had fast food fries maybe less than 5 times since they've turned two. They've never had any of the other food at a fast food restaurant.

DS started as soon as he was able to eat solids.. Its been nuggets only even though i've tried hamburgers too.. just recently he started eating fries...

My oldest DD was probably at least 2, probably closer to 2.5 years old. DH likes Wendy's every once in a while (I don't like traditionally fast food, I prefer Panera, Subway, etc personally  ) she has had a burger and fries.
She likes them. So now, she gets it 1x/month. She's like it more often, but I'd rather her eat a burger we make & grill if she's having a craving.
Though she has recently discovered Five Guys burgers, and she really likes those...so she gets that 1x/month instead of Wendy's usually.
To each their own, but we're not a big fast-food house anyway, so it's not a big issue for us.

Around 2 for my older DS. DS #2 is 17 months and hasn't had any yet.
The only fast food place we really go to is Chick Fil A, which is popular down here in VA. DS loves the nuggets and the fruit cup. Neither of my sons like salty foods so they don't eat french fries (but my DH and I love them).
We go maybe once a month for lunch.

DS was 14 1/2 months.... the old daycare got shutdown and I needed to find a place. I was out all day going to places and needed a quick lunch.
I know he eats it more then he should, but he also eats well at home and at other places picks healthy choices.

I think it was around 18 months because we were out, I was pregnant and starving. He has had fast food 5 times in his 3 years. We don't really eat it so when we do, I don't mind him having it.

even I like 5 guys...but they make their fries from scratch.

DD is 10 months and had her first taste of pizza last week. She's had some of my black bean soup from Panera. That's it, lol. Neither DH or I eat McD's/Wendy's/BK food, so she's not getting it until she's old enough to go on her own.

Probably about a year old. DH and I will have mcdonalds about once a month. DS hates everything except for the fries (which of course is good and bad)

DS is 4 and never stepped foot in McDonald's, Burger King or other fast food establishments. He's had french fries and burgers and pizza but not from those places. I try my hardest to make sure that he eats fresh food for dinner every night...be it a fresh meat burger or grilled chicken and steamed veggies. I'm not saying he's forbidden to eat there, I just don't want to make it a habit of grabbing something quick to eat at those places. I'd rather grab a quick sandwich, fruit or a slice of pizza.

I try to keep him away from it if possible. It's getting harder as he gets older though because we eat fast food every fri night. He has had a handful of wendy's fries & one nugget but that's it. He's 20 months.

I started trying to give her McD's fries at about 10 months but she wouldn't eat them! LOL my sister swears she could smell the chemicals
At around a year she started to eat them. . . she will eat a chicken nugget and about ten fries when we get fast food, which is pretty rare.
