I dont remember with DD... but with DS we went within the first 2 weeks.

About 2-3 weeks old...if he started crying, one of us would take him outside and walk around with him until he calmed down so as not to disturb the other people in the restaurant. Most of the time he'd just sleep.
Same for us! At 11 weeks he is still awesome and will either eat, sleep or chill out, one time he did have a fit though so DH just went out with him...

DD was about 4 weeks or so...and it was NOT a pleasant experience....we hadn't yet figured out her formula allergy, so she screamed the whole time...DH and I ate in "shifts" - one ate while the other held the baby in the lobby....
After we figured out the formula thing though, she was great - and we've been taking her places with us ever since!!

4 months and it was a disaster, all he wanted was to stand on our laps and look around. We were so frustrated we tried do do it while he napped, but he realized something is different and woke up.
I should have done it earlier!

Probably about a month old. We went to IHOP for dinner, totally quiet DS did great.
DS has always been a nosy kid so he LOVES going out to eat!

As soon as he got his first round of shots (at 8 wks), we took him EVERYWHERE, including restaurants. In the first couple months, he basically just stayed in his carrier and did a lot of sleeping, or playing with a toy or 2. A he got a little older, I would take him out and hold him on my lap a bit, and now at 6 months, we just started bringing a booster seat out with us that he sits in.

I don't recall with DD#1, but probably around 2 or 3 weeks. We got looks when she acted up...but I didn't let that stop me. It's not like we were at Tavern on the Green.  DD#2 went at 10 days old.

He wasnt 2 months yet. We went to Ihop in the mall. We put his infant seat in the booth with me. The snap&go was folded under the table.

3 or 4 weeks. The only thing that held me in the house was the fact that it was the dead of winter and we had abou 29384 blizzards in 09
