How old was your toddler when they successfully were able to

climb out of their crib? Victoria has yet to show any interest in climbing out at 18 months and I'm wondering with #2 on the way if she'll be okay until 27 months before putting her in a big girl bed

Re: How old was your toddler when they successfully were able to

DS is 19 months and at the lowest setting of his bed. The top is now at his neck level so we are "still" safe. He tries to climb "in" though at night.

I think when they get closer to 2 year old, it becomes an issue with climbers.

Re: How old was your toddler when they successfully were able to

Kaitee was in a big girls bed at 17 months old so I am not sure at what age she would have been able too. She could climb out of the pack and play at 18 months old though.

But when the girls started sharing a room (Kaitee was around 24 months old). she started climbing into Brooke's crib. I actually had to get a crib tent to keep her out of Brooke's crib! But Kaitee is a BIG climber she has been climbing before she could crawl at 6 months old, so my answer might not really help.

She just started to attempt it at 19 months...but after taking out the bumpers that gave her leverage she's stopped trying...THANK god.

DD is going to be 3 in May, she is still in her crib and hasn't made any attempt to climb out. She loves it in there!

Sophie jumped out at 19 months. We didn't think she was ready for a big girl bed (or were we!) so we put a crib tent on her crib. At 27 months, she sleeps in there no problem now with her tent.

DD is 25 months and hasn't tried to climb out yet. We share a room with her though, so she gets instant attention when she wants it.

My girls were climbing successfully out of the crib at 18 months..After a couple of SPLATS they figured out how to get out without injuring themselves...

Caden is 17 months, a lot bigger than the girls were, and the biggest climber...HOWEVER...(knock on wood) he has yet to show any interest in climbing out of his crib.

DS hasn't done it yet at 22 months, but he's also very short. He was getting close to getting all the way over the pank n play at 19-20 months--that's when we retired that.

DS is going to be 3 in April and has no clue how to climb out. I think we will be converting his crib to the full size bed in April or May.

Bella never climbed out...we moved her to a bed at 3 years and 2 months where she doesn't get out of that either...Chat Icon hoping that lasts...

ETA; she did try and climb out ONCE...and never attempted again...

My dd is 2 1/2 and climbs into her crib all of the time but has never climbed out. I don't want to transition her to a big girl bed just yet because I know she won't stay in there for naps and at bedtime.

Luckily , my kids were never climbers. They were moved out of their cribs about 2 years old.
