how soon did you drive after c?
i have to say my recovery has been really well and i was up and around immediately.
with that being said, i know that i have no idea what's going on on the inside.
how long did you/should you wait to drive?

I think I waited until 4 weeks.... Maybe slightly under. I felt confident and comfortable at that point. I had a VERY easy recovery, though.... Hopefully all of mine will be the same.

My kids were in the NICU after my c-section so soon as I was released from the hospital I was very eager to drive myself to see them. If i remember correctly I think i waited the 10 days after the section which is what my doctor recommended. I did have an easy recovery and I did feel fine to drive myself after day 5.

how soon did you drive after c?
Sit in the driver seat and look over both shoulders. Then see if you can slam on the breaks hard with no hesitation. I was told I could drive if I could do that. I know I waited at least a month.

My doctor told me something similar. For me, it was a snowy winter anyways so it was about 6 weeks.

i have to bring her to the doc on tuesday.. itll be just about 2.5 weeks. its close to home, in my town. i figured ill drive.. my mom is coming anyway. so itll make me feel safe lol

As soon as I left the hospital. My dr told me the no driving had nothing to do with it making me worse or hurting myself. It was more like if I had a sudden pain and reacted and could cause an accident.

I was told 2 weeks from when I left the hospital - because reflex/reaction time could be an issue. I felt I could drive way sooner than that - one thing to consider though is liability. If they tell you not to drive for 2 weeks and then God forbid you get in an accident, the other driver could have a big claim against the driver. (We live in such a litigious society!)

1 week with my 2nd. Had no choice bc I had to take him to his first Doc apt and DH had to work.

The doctor told me to wait 2 weeks. It has nothing to do with how you feel in general; the muscles deep in your abdomen are still healing, and if a child runs out in front of your car and you need to slam on your brakes, you won't be able to for a couple of weeks.
