How to Decorate a Gingerbread House?
I know it sounds silly, but I never made a Gingerbread House and next Wednesday the parents are invited to go to school and help decorate houses.
What other candies should I bring in?
The teacher suggested these: Each child needs to bring in small candies to decorate their house. Candies will be shared on the tables for all to use. Some ideas are m & m’s, mini snow caps, gumdrops, string licorice, smarties, chocolate chips, and any small candies that can be used for decorating.

Dots, mini jaw breakers or gumballs, peppermint or spearmint candies.

DD's class just did these yesterday. We had to bring a can of frosting and they gave us small lunchsich milk carton and a plate. Then we covered it with the frosting and added a package of graham crackers. They were really cute.
I brought my own candy bc of my DD's food allergies but between what I brought and what was provided these where the choices on the table:
Small marshmellows
froot loops
m&m's
skittles
gummy bears
mini twizzlers
wrapped mini candy bars
small candy canes
peppermints
gum drops
ginger bread men
jujubees
smarties
twizzler bites
Deecorating stars and sugars (like you put on cupcakes)

DS's class is doing this next Wednesday also! The teacher asked us to bring in Starburst and vanilla frosting. You could also bring in other kinds of candy like Skittles and dots.

I don't think I'd be much help...last year DS came shopping with me and wanted gummy sharks...so I got them for his house!
