Re: how to host a tea party??

Like High Tea...British Style?

Decor: Traditionally Victorian, but english garden theme is also cool

Menus: If you are doing a buffet of finger sandwiched & scones I would just use nice garden stakes with calligraphied tags to explain what each is. Some sandwiches you could use are watercress mayo, shrimp mayo, cucumber mayo and Chicken salad with almonds.

Scones can be plain or raisin, and you can also put out Petit Fours & Madelines (even though those are French).

For the tea you should have a traditional tea, Early Grey, Oolong tea, white tea and maybe some nice herbals like Lemon Zinger or Orange.

Coffee should be available as well.

Favours could be tea accessories or garden themed. There are places to get inexpensive tea bags as well as small tea & saucer sets.

Have fun!

Good luck! I'm hosting a baby 'sprinkle' for my friend who is having her second baby. I have decorations, and now I'm trying to find cute favors.
