How to stop her from thowing food to the dog
UGH I cook and cook and then she just throws it on the floor. I am at a loss. I tried time out and putting her back at the table and she stops for a few minutes and then does it again. The dog, on the other hand is loving life!

Re: How to stop her from thowing food to the dog
Have you tried locking the dog out of the kitchen during dinner time. My DS does this with my mom's dog, however, when he doesn't see her, he's much better. (We watch the dog when my parents go on vacation and to visit my grandmother- so it's generally weeks at a time that we have her.)

My DS just does it for sport. We don't have a dog or cat.

DS did this for months b/c he thought it was funny I learned to only put a little on his tray at a time and spoon fed him more. I also would explain to him, whether he understood of not, that he can't throw the food to the dogs and the food is for him. Now he doesnt throw any food anymore unless he is angry about something

how funny that we were talking about this tonight.....dd decides she is full and will not regularly anymore, but still on occasion (like tonight) throw the rest to Louie (our dog)...but we were silly and created this since we used to allow her when she says "all done" to feed the rest to him

Re: How to stop her from thowing food to the dog
I try to keep Scout in the kitchen (we eat in the dining room). Still she feeds him when he sneaks in, but I don't give her too much at a time. But def. keeping the dog away while eating is best -- for both of them. I hate when Scout begs and we really try to stop it.

Re: How to stop her from thowing food to the dog
We only put a small amount in front of DS at a time, so that he cannot just dump the whole thing for the dog. We want DS to feed the dog just a little so that the dog associates him with good things and DS is in a master role. The high chair is a place where my DS can safely be near my rough playing dog, so I do not want to separate them at meal time. I have some pretty good pictures of DS feeding the dog. I'll have to post.

Let me know when you figure it out..... Kristina has started throwing her wheels (you know - the ones that are like the puffs) to Buddy after she's had the first few bites....
