The way that's spelled, I think it needs to be pronounced the way the PP said. I went to school with a girl named Adeline and it was definitely pronounced Ad-e-line. My BFF has a daughter named Adalynn, which obviously is pronounced with the short i = Ad-e-lin

ada-line... I prefer it pronounced ada-lynn, but I could never name a future child this because they will have to correct people their whole lives!!! haha

How would you pronounce this name?
It would be pronounced A-deh-line based on that spelling. Same thing with Madeline. I didn't want the "line" pronunciation, which is why I named DD Madelyn.

Being someone who was constantly called DIE-na instead of DEE-na, I totally get it. It gets so annoying!!
I prefer the spelling Adeline but want it pronounced ada-Lynn. Guess I can't have it both ways
