Hsg on a Monday?
I'm so not looking forward to this at all, and foolishly read the info sheet about the test the Dr sent home with me.... It suggests having someone drive you home because of pain/cramping..... I was going alone, picking my kids up from school and have a normal night if homework/dinner etc.... Should I be making other arrangements ???
I won't lie, I find a Pap smear very uncomfortable, but survived 2 pregnancies, an amnio and 2 c sections.... should I be expecting much worse than cramping with this???

Hsg on a Monday?
Depends on the person. I felt fine after mine and went for a 7 mile run, but others have had some severe cramping.

Re: Hsg on a Monday?
Paps are very uncomfortable for me as well but honestly the clamp was the worst part. The procedure felt more odd than painful. I took 3 Alieves about an hour before I went in and made sure to take more before they wore off. I did have cramping later in the day due to the cervix being open.
Good luck!

Mine took a long time because they had trouble with one tube and it hurt like a b*tch, but I was definitely fine to drive afterwards. I drove myself there and back, no problem.

Re: Hsg on a Monday?
DH came with me but I would have been ok to drive after. Just some minor cramping.

Re: Hsg on a Monday?
I had severe cramps after mine. But that being said, the dr makes all patients wait in the waiting room for 30 mins after the test and by then, all my cramps were gone. I rode the subway home and stood the whole way.

Just had one few weeks ago. Everyone is different and I was freaking out after reading stories about this test. Wasn't bad at all. Uncomfortable but not painful. I took Advil before hand and afterwards. I drove myself as well. I think the mental part of it was the worst.
