HSG test
anyone have a hsg to check your fallopian tubes? what was lt like? did it hurt? did you take anything before the procedure, and if so, what did you take? any insight would be appreciated! thanks!

this si just my experience,i know some that had blockages had it worse
i cramped for a sec when the dye went in but it was fine,was over in 3 min
they advised me to take 2 Motrin 30 min before which i did
i was not allowed to take my other meds and no sex 24 hrs before or after
i took train home by myself after and was fine,i bled and cramped a bit for the rest fo the day

it wasn't painful for me. it felt like bad cramps for about a couple of minutes. it was over pretty fast. they say your chances of getting pregnant after this test go up. good luck

i had this done last year. It was slightly uncomfortable and I did feel some cramping and pressure during and shortly after the procedure but it was not painful. I also was instructed to take Motrin before hand, which I guess helpled. Thankfully, my testing came back normal. Good luck!

HSG test
Ive had 2 of these...
The spectulum hurt the worst --- cold, metal and opened it up as though I was the Grand Canyon...
Cramped slightly when die went in
Felt fine afterwards resumed my day as if nothing happened...
Diagnosis: everything was clear, fine and there was nothing in there
Now...the water sono at the RE...holy shit!!! that hurt but only becuase I had adheasions from my pregnancy with my son...they tried to do a lysis in the office but that was not possible so I had to have surgery
good luck!!!!!!!! you will be OK!!!!
