Hug your babies a little bit tighter tonight!
Just got a call from my brother in Denver. He was at the local pool yesterday with his wife and 2 boys. He was swimming with my 6 year old nephew and going down the slide.
They both got out and my nephew got his new snorkel and goggles and went back in.
Within minutes, the lifeguards were blowing the whisltles and evacuating all pools. There was a hug crowd gather near the side of one of the pools. My brother put his glasses on and the first thing he sees is my nephews bathing suit!
A random stranger pulled him out of the pool. He was completely gray and the were preforming CPR on him.
My brother, SIL and 4 year old nephew where told "things don't look good"...
They were able to get him breathing and rushed to the hospital by ambulance. At the ER, the were met by about 50 hospital staff and a Chaplan.
By the grace of God/angels...whatever...I am not a religious person, he is o.k.!!!!!!!
He spent the night at the hospital vomitting and being monitored. He is home today and acting perfectly normal. He just has to go back to the hospital in 2 days for another chest x-ray.
We are all sooooo thankful to the Mom that saw him and pulled him out of the pool. My brother and family are going to meet with her tomorrow to thank her and give her flowers, as well as the lifeguards. He will also be returning to his scheduled swimming lessons at that very pool.
Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG...so scarey, I was holding my breathe reading the story, I am so glad he was granted some sort of a miracle, and is doing okay now!!

These stories KILL me.
Rob went back to work and the boys are spending their days with my SIL.
I love her and trust her.. but God FORBID anything happened to my children in her care. I think about the Taconic wreck - and now this. I wish I could just protect my kids and be with them all the time.
I am so glad he is okay though!!!!
