humidifier question
If we have a humidifier that circulates throughout the house would it be too much to put an actual humidifier in DS’s room? He has a cold and is congested at night and he is waking up like 5 times a night.

Re: humidifier question
I would try spraying his nose before bedtime and using a humidifier. Just make sure to leave his door open so it doesn't get too moist.

Re: humidifier question
definitely use a saline spray and put a cool mist humidifer on low with the door cracked.
Hope he feels better!

Re: humidifier question
my husband does heat&a/c for a living. You'll know if it's too much by the area around the humidifier. If it's all wet, you probably have too much humidity in there. You can tell on the windows too, if they're condensating.
The whole house humidifer "should" do the trick, as long as your filters are clean and all the dampers (grills) are open in his room. You can actually measure it with a humidistat but that's probably not necessary. Do you suction him when he wakes up?
I hate doing it but one good suction and Ryan can usually fall back to sleep for a while.

Re: humidifier question
Thanks
I have been doing the salene spray and suctioning. Both of which he hates! I did do it in the middle of the night but he still ended up waking up.
