Huntington Hospital MOms with GHI

What was your deductible-- for your infant's delivery??? I have a big bill (previously posted) from some doctor that supposedly looked at my baby at some point. They want $900.00 but say that they will accept my $200.00 deductible. GHI is my insurance...I had a $300.00 for me, and now they're saying $200.00 for her. DId you have to pay a deductible for your infant? Also, do you have to pay a deductible for an out-of-network doctor? (I am annoyed because he is out of network and they were trying to get me to pay $900.00) She wasn't in the NICU and had no problems whatsoever, thank god.

I would call your insurance....

I got hit with a bill for anesthia when I had Caden. Apparently the doctor was in the hospital at the time I gave birth and could have given me an epi had I had I needed one...but that's another story entirely....They sent me a bill months later. They were out of network. I had the deductible issue. But b/c I "saw" them in the hospital and never had an oppurtunity to seek in-network doctors the insurance company had to pay the doctor in full...

I would definitely make some phone calls....

Again, not Huntington Hospital, but GHI, my deductible was $300.

I paid nothing for him.
