HVAC/CAC vent/duct cleaning?

We are moving into a home where the previous owners have cats. I'm allergic. Our first order of business when we close this weekend is to get the system cleaned. I've never had central air before and I'm a little confused...

I called around asking how much it would cost to clean the 2 zone system and I got a few places that said around $400-600, depending on # of vents.

I'm looking through the Valpak that just came in the mail and Unlimited Vent "open, agitate, and HEPA vacuum every vent in your home and main trunks" for $9 per vent. I've seen similar ads in the pennysaver.

What's the difference between the $400 cleaning and the $9/vent???

Is there something extra or special the expensive one is going to be doing?

Thanks!

There may be hidden costs involved. Call for an estimate for a better idea.

We used GreenPro. I found them in the pennysaver and they did a great job. The guy said we had about 30 years worth of dirt in our vents! Chat Icon So glad I did it!

I have GoGreenPro's flyer in front of me. They're the $9/vent one. They were good? That's good to know!

Yea they were good, but they tried to sell me things like vent sanitizing which was like $100 more or something like that.
