Hypothetical Question #1: Theft
If somebody told you they had stolen something, would you feel it was your responsibility to advise the third party from whom the item was stolen?
What if the theft was from the workplace, and would certainly mean that the thief would be fired from their position?

Re: Hypothetical Question #1
It depends who the person is and what they stole.
If it was a friend that stole from another friend, I would encourage the theif to return whatever it is they stole. If they didnt I might tell the other person depending on the value (monetary or sentimental).
If it was a friend stealing from a workplace, I probably wouldnt report them but I wouldnt want to hang out with them much more either.
I guess I would need more details on who stole what. It's not a black and white issue for me.

Re: Hypothetical Question #1
It depends if they stole a stapler or a computer...I don't think I would report someone for a $10 crime. If they stole something of value I would report it.

i'm keeping out of it...unless I personally (or a group) was punished for the "crime."

Re: Hypothetical Question #1: Theft
probably would not get involved, unless it was something really criminal and a large sum that disrupted the company.

Re: Hypothetical Question #1: Theft
It would have to be something substantial for me to report it.

Re: Hypothetical Question #1: Theft
It would depend on what they stole - as someone already posted, it's not always black and white.
