hysterosalpingogram
ok - so i called to sched one and day one of my cycle was Sun 12/23. the girl on the phone said id have to schedule it on monday31st not wed the 2nd. if i got AF late Sunday and it has to be 10 days later......isn't wednesday still ok?????obviously it can't be done on NY day. her explanation was "it has to be mon and we don't have any openings. you'll just have to wait until your next cycle", she obviously didn't know that the thought of waiting one more second brought me to tears as i have been trying for 1.5 years. anyway, i called a different hospital (one i don't trust to go to) and they scheduled it for wednesday???????ill call tomorrow and demond to speak to a radiologist so i can have a medical reason why wednesday is too late. anyway, sorry so long.....any experience with this????

Re: hysterosalpingogram
When I had my HSG i was told that it was preferable to have on the first day after AF finished. it needs to be done between the time AF ends and before O. It can interfere with O if it is done too close to it. To me I would be totally ticked off and find myself a new RE if the only place they recommended wanted me to miss a cycle. Many ultrasound places do them, you dont necessarily have to go to a hospital to have it done.

Re: hysterosalpingogram
I am not sure where you are located, but I went to Nassau Radiologic group and was able to get an appointment a few days after my period ended. They were very helpful....good luck!

Re: hysterosalpingogram
Hi there, i am doing my HSG on CD11 and my RE said it is no big deal. I am on a clomid cycle and prob wont ovulate before day 13/14. Unless you have a pattern of ovulation early before Day 14, i wouldnt worry as my doc said it is not a big deal ..i think my Radiologist said you can do it up to day 12. Just keep an eye on your cycle and make sure you are not around ovulation when you do it with a surge..that is what i am doing..i am scheduled for a monitor on CD13 due to New Years Day. Good Luck and let me know how it goes!! Are you nervous? I am!

Re: hysterosalpingogram
It is stongly recomended to do it cd11 or prior because of ovulation.. they were going to schedule mine this month 2 days after ovulation and i said no i will wait till next month because i will ahve to take BC Pills to stop ovulation b4 the exam.
you dont want to be preg and have an HSG done... so i am hoping next cycle it can be schedule b4 ovulation... this time of yr is hard due to offices being short handed due to the holidays...
but there is no real reason they can not do it later in your cycle, you should jsut be required to take BC pills to prevent ovulation/pregnancy.
