my dd went into her pool the first time this past weekend too and i was terrified. Im even terrified now when i give her baths, b/c they said even the littlest water can cause this.
Lets all for our little ones.

Why do they allow infants that don't know how to hold their breath take swimming lessons at all?
If I had a pool in my backyard my kids would have taken them as early as possible.
Reading this I wouldn't risk it. When they are old enough to hold their breath I would. Pool gates and alarms can and do keep kids out of pools.

i know exactly how you feel...my son went in a baby pool on sat, then the regular pool on sun, and had a bath both days, and I was PETRIFIED at night He has also been coughing so that has made it worse.
