I am going to scream
August 26th I ordered an entire dining room set from Levitz. The salesman told me that I would be getting it delievered October 20th. I kept calling them to find out about delivery and they then said it got moved to October 29th. FINE - No problem. I JUST CALL THEM THIS MORNING To find out what time they are coming and the woman tells me that it is not getting delivered until JANUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am on hold now (For about an hour) waiting to speak to a supervisor. Can you imagine this??? OBVIOUSLY I need my dining room for the holidays and I just wasted three months waiting for NOTHING. I could have gone somewhere else and already received my furniture in this amount of time.
I am fuming and about to scream/cry - whichever comes out first!!!!!!!!!!
SORRY HAD TO VENT!

I had the same situation with Maurice Villency. Speak with a supervisor and get a credit or giftcard. Good luck!

Christ, you could have carved it out of wood by yourself in less time. Sorry you're having such issues....Levitz is notorious for that..

DH and I went through the same thing with Levitz. It took six months for us to finally get our entire bedroom set delivered! Everytime DH would call and complain, they would send us another gift card, but I have no intention of ever buying anything from them again! I feel your pain...it's so aggravating!

Ok - my little drama is over. I spoke to a supervisor and he magically is having my delivery still come on Saturday. I don't know how he did or - or what the problem was - but now it's coming. I hate Levitz. Never again.

what? so the set was just hanging out there the entire time? that's ridiculous! They probably have another customer waiting on the same set but since you gave them more of a fight, they are giving it to you. unreal.

Supposedly my table pads were holding up my entire order. I don't know if I believe that or if they took my order from someone else. That place stinks!

DD- this EXACT thing happened to my aunt when she ordered living room furniture from levitz... they kept pushing it back, pushing it back. then she gets a letter that the set she chose was DISCONTINUED!!! She ended up getting a $300 gift card going to "The Place" that furniture store on Glen Cove Rd. and got the same set in a month.
Check it out.. maybe they have your set!

This is most likely the case...if one piece is missing, something as simple as a table pad, CS will just redate your whole order...OR, like someone else said, they called in a favor at the warehouse and pulled someone else's filled order. Happens all the time.
Levitz owes all their vendors a lot of $$$$$, they haven't been paying them which is why they declared chapter 11, so the manufacturers have not been shipping merchandise. This has been going on for a long time now...
Don't be surprised if your set comes damaged....lots of times they throw those pieces right back into stock...check it well!
