OMG that is so awful, What is wrong with people? I hope they catch who ever did this. In my opinion they should be sentenced the same as if they did this to a child, it makes me so angry and sick to my stomach. I just don't get it how anyone could do that to an innocent loving animal.

omg.. that's horrible! I just went on the link for save A pet. Poor Maximus didn't make it. The trauma was too much for him to handle. He passed away this morning due to his injuries.
I hope they catch the idiots that did this!

They are still accepting them, to help in his name or to help other pets. Or to help defray the costs of having tried to save him.

This is so sad. It literally brought tears to my eyes. I can't understand and never will why any human being would do this! It makes me sick to stomach. I guess the poor baby could not hang on.. and I know that he's in a much better place now.

omg, I'm hysterical right now. I'm sickened by the idea that this would ever happen.
They need to start treating cases of animal cruelty JUST as they would if someone did this to a human being. It's senseless and deeply deeply disturbing.
That poor dog - I'm glad he's no longer suffering...
ETA: I just called Save-A-Pet to make a donation, and the nice man on the phone gave me the following info:
He said that they'd really appreciate continued donations for items for Maximus - grave site, headstone, other $ to defray costs - and donations can be sent to:

Somewhere on the check write "Donation for Maximus" and it will be routed in the appropriate manner.
