I am just so incredibly proud of Alex
So, some of you may know that we were having some bullying issues a few weeks back. I spoke with the Director, but I also used the opportunity to coach Alex through it, knowing this will not be the last time she'll face this kind of thing.
Well, she had a carnival at school today that I attended. Her classroom teacher, and two of the late care teachers all pulled me aside, separately, and told me how Alex is just amazing. They told me that Alex does play with this little girl, but anytime she behaves inappropriately, Alex says sternly that she won't play with her until she's nice, and walks away.
And they even told me that this little girl turned on another one of Alex's friends, and Alex intervened and told her "don't treat my friend that way" and pulled her friend aside to play.
I am just sooooo proud of her and how far she's come, and how compassionate she is towards others.
And to boot, the sports director pulled me aside and told me that Alex is incredibly athletic and better at all the sports than even the boys in her bunk! I am TRULY amazed considering DH and I don't have a single athletic bone in our bodies!

GO ALEX!!!!!! I really love hearing stories about her, she reminds me a lot of what I think Chels is going to be like as she gets older, even reading some of your older posts about Alex while I was pregnant (I stalked the parenting board bc I was excited), she just seems like such an incredible child!!!

Well, if that's the case, I feel for you! Dh and I always joke with Alex that we hope she uses her powers for good instead of evil  So far, she's on the right track, but adolescence seriously scares the @$@#$@ out of me!
