I am really upset with Verizon Wireless..(long vent) WWYD UPDATED
October i paid for an upgrade from the BlackBerry Tour to the Blackberry Bold, it worked great for 6 weeks and then started having m alfunction issues so they warranteed it with one of those "like new" phone that had been returned and fixed. That phone also had issues, worked great for a week and then started having scrolling issues and wouldn't open any apps and has "application execution failures", they warrateed it and send me another "like new phone" and this was the worst one, it constantly locked up and i had to pull the battery out and restart it 7-10 times a day so they warranteed it with the one i have now and this one again worked great for about 5 days and right after christmas everytime i send a picture to Facebook or email right after it sends it...locked up and i have to pull the battery out and restart it....this is frustrating....how many like new phone are they going to send me that keep not functioning properly....i usually buy used phone from ebay but im a SAHM so i can't afford that now and my upgrade was only $50 but i never thought i would have this much trouble. I was on an emergency phone call with DH last week ( he hurt himself at work) and it LOCKED UP, i had to pull the battery out and wait until it restarted to find out he went to the hospital, we don't have a home phone so we rely on our cell phones....
My orginal Bold worked great until i started tethering with it, that is why i ended up canceling my tethering service.....
I don't know what to do, it's such a PITA to get to the store and drag DD with me who always throws a fit and people stare and make comments and my preggo hormones are raging...im afraid i will snap on someone....
UPDATE: So after all that they still would give me a new Bold, just a replacement but offered a BlackBerry Storm 2 instead Not sure why they offered me that instead of a new Bold but I agreed to try it, hopefully I like it!

after 3 manufacturers warranty replacments you should get a BRAND NEW phone not a refurbished phone....

Verizon gives you a brand new phone after 3 warrantied phones. This happened to DH and a friend of ours. Just bring it back. They have everything on file.

idk if you are near the hicksville store but i found they are usually the easiest. I dont have verizon anymore but when I did this was the only one I would go to the other ones give such trouble to get the phone replaced.

i would definetly request a new phone
also - do not transfer your data directly from the phone- there are viruses that can be optained through apps and such that can cause problems - load contacts separeltly and see if works better- this happened to a friend with a black berry

Exactly my thoughts.. if you don't get anywhere with customer serivice, then ask to speak to a supevisor and see what they can do...also call during the "normal" hours - if you call during the evening you are sure to get idiots on the phone.
If all else fails, WRITE TO CORPORATE (seriously)- it does help especially when there are so many other cell phone companies competing.

Do you mean like Backup Assistant? I have been using that to re-download all my contacts....

I understand your pain. After 33 days with my new phone, it was replaced with a 'like new'. It has now been replaced with a 'like new' phone 5 more times over the past year.
I was first told after 3 'like new' replacements that I would get NEW phone. Nope. Then they said 'I don't know who told you that, but that is not right.'
I want to go to another carier because I am so flipping mad over this, but I like their coverage.

Do you mean like Backup Assistant? I have been using that to re-download all my contacts....
i have not used the backup assistant - but if the info - directly downloaded from the phone to the site - the yes - that can be corrupted - if you inputed the info no - i would get a new phone and try to use the phone for a week without using the backup assistant - manually install the contacts you use - and then see if it is better - i know totally annoying but my friend went through three blackberry storms this way and once he inputted the contacts himself on a new phone he did not have the problem
