I understand. It really is a huge loss when someone you love that much moves away.
My best friend (like a brother but so much more, even) has lived far away for most of the past 6 years, and I still get pangs of hurt and missing him. I was so glad to have him back in the area after college, and then he moved away for law school. I am counting down until he comes back!
DOn't worry though, he's just a plane ride away, and what a great excuse to take Ava to Disney land!

Like the others have said, while it's upsetting that he won't be here, now you'll have a good excuse to visit California more often!
