I am so sick of worrying about my newborn and the swine flu!!

My cousin had it last week and I had DS around him a few days before he came down with it. By the time we found out he had it, we were through the incubation period. So we were okay.

Yesterday I was with my sister. SHe held and cuddled DS. She was having asthma issues..........

Today she calls me. She feels sicker. It may not have been asthma. It might be the flu. It's possible she is just being crazy. She does overdramatize everything and overreactes to a lot and she said he tummy hurt. I don't think it's a flu symptom. I guess we will have to wait it out. But, I have to sit here and worry because I let my baby near her aunt! :(

I know the flu isn't severe for most people but, it is for a newborn. I just don't know what to do. Do I just lock my doors until this is over and refuse to even see my closest family?? I am so scared but, at the same time, I'm not an alarmast person or crazed about germs. But, this is my tiny babies life and I am just so frustrated and scared.

Sending you I've been super aware of it too b/c I am pg and my DS is under 2 - two of the at risk groups

I'm sure its not the flu and your little one will be just fine

I think if your sister had the flu she would have been in bed with a fever today. i think the flu comes on fairly quickly, it's not like a cold that takes a few days to develop.

I really do understand. I would feel the same way, I still worry so much about this and my 6 mth old. I wish it would just go away already.
