I am so upset and scared
my neighbor just came over to tell me that our neighbor directly across the street was robbed last night at about 10pm. They went in, took her pocketbook, and left everything else. THEY WERE HOME AT THE TIME, BUT ASLEEP UPSTAIRS!
I am completely freaking out right now. 
I dont care if they take everything in my house, but if someone ever broke in, and hurt my boys, I would die.

That's scary. Hopefully it's an isolated incident and won't happen again. We had a few break ins on our block, but that god we never had any problems.
I suggets getting an alarm system and getting multi locks. They are amazing dead bolts and you can't even dupolicate teh key unless you have a card. they'res expensive, but worth it, IMO

i hope you are ok , it sound more then likly it was someone they know, i mean to just take a pocketbook, but either way make sure your doors are locked. now with keith gone, i am terrified of this

I completely know how you feel! Our house was broken into right before we moved in. Luckily we didn't have any of our belongings there yet - they only took our brand new washer and dryer  which were still in the box.
DH got an alarm put in with motion sensors. He shopped around and got a pretty good deal. I know nothing is fool proof - but it makes me feel better!

Oh no, that is so scary. When I lived at home my house was robbed like 3 times (not while we were there, thankfully), but we really got peace of mind when we got an alarm. It was literally the first major thing DH and I did when we bought our house. If you don't have one--get one!

after i read this the blue bar on the bottom of news 12 said that 2 people where arrested for stealing poketbooks? i wonder if that could be the same people.

It sounds like it was kids, probably from the neighborhood. Even in what appears to be a safe area things like that can happen. You always have those kids that have nothing better to do. Don't be afraid. But to be safe always lock your doors when you're sleeping and taking showers.
