For those of you who have experienced something like this, are these known, legit companies, with an actual hiring process, HR, etc.?
It just does not sit well with me that an employer can just let someone go like this because a person wants their job back. Is that even legal?

I may be wrong here, but if they are employment at will, then I don't see why a company couldnt do it legally
