I can seriously cry right now....TJ just tripped and his nose won't stop bleeding

He tripped over the foam tiles I put down so Derek doesnt get brain damage from falling and now TJ tripped over them, smacked his face on something ( i dont know what) and his nose wont stop bleeding. There is blood ALL over...it looks like there was a ******* massacre here. I just called my ped. I dont know if I need to take him to the hospital or what


ETA: I think he hit his face because when he tripped he was afraid to use his hands to brace himself being his one hand has a bad burn and is bandaged

nose bleeds and mouth injuries always bleed alot. It probably looks alot worse than it is. Do you see any laceration?

OH no!!! I'm sure it's fine - I know when I was little I hit my forhead on the pavement and there was the tiniest cut, but it just wouldn't stop bleeding - my mom said there were pools of blood in my eyes - but it was really nothing!

Try not to panic I'll bet it's not nearly as bad as it looks!!

It just stopped bleeding. I have him sitting on the couch with his head tilted back. I have no idea what to do with a bloody nose. I dont see any laceration. He said he hit his face on his monster truck case. There was blood pouring out of his nose and his mouth was filled with blood...I guess b/c the blood was going down the back of his throat.

Don't have him tilt his head back. It is instinctual to do this, but is actually not the right way to treat a bloody nose.The blood can go down into his throat and he can choke this way (or it will come out of his mouth like you saw.)
The treatment for a bloody nose it to tilt the head FORWARD, and apply pressure to the bridge of the nose to stop the bleeding. (squeeze it) You can also put ice on it.

I hope he feels better!

OOO poor thing!!!! Just put some pressure on the top of his nose and don’t put his head back. I use to get nose bleeds all the time. If you make him put his head back he can choke on the blood. You can also put a small ice pack on it too afterwards, it might make it feel a little better.

Don't be surprised if later today he says he has a belly ache. Swallowing the blood can make you nauseous....He will be fine...
