Re: I can't believe I am typing this... UPDATE ON PG 2
I'm sorry, this is tough, I know, been there...I miscarried in late June at 8 weeks. I had no bleeding, just some faint spotting, but the heartbeat stopped and I ended up getting a d&c.
As far as trying, I can tell you that you are very fertile after a m/c...material I have read suggests you wait until you get your first AF - only b/c it's easier to determine a due date (but a sono can easily do that) and you know it's not "leftover hormone" when you get a Bfp. You have to do what's right for you. I believe a pregnancy will stick if it's meant to stick no matter how long you wait.
This is a great site, it helped me tremendously.
www.pregnancyloss.info
It speaks about waiting to m/c, dealing with a m/c and trying again. Best of luck, I hope that somehow you are pg w/ twins and one survives. Feel free to fm me if you want.

Re: I can't believe I am typing this... UPDATE ON PG 2
I am so sorry to hear this!
I had a miscarriage almost a year ago. I miscarried naturally, and didn't need a D&C. I waited until I got my period again (it went back to normal right away)- and we got pregnant on this cycle. I carried the baby to full term- just had her 6 weeks ago.
Please do not hesitate to FM if you have any questions!

For those who miscarried before and didn't wait a full cycle before trying again... did you carry the pregnancy to term? I was thinking that since it was so early that I might just ignore the "wait one cycle" advice and try in the next week or two when I "O". What do you think? Has anyone had experience with getting PG before their next AF comes. I have been told that you are very fertile after a miscarriage. I don't know if this is a wives tale or not.
I'm so very sorry that you are going through this. To answer your question, I miscarried at the end of July. I was only around 5 weeks pregnant. I was told I didn't have to wait until my next period, I could start trying as soon as they confirmed that my horomone levels had dropped below 5. So that's what we did, we started trying immediately, and I'm happy to say that I am just over 8 weeks pregnant! Hang in there.

Im so sorry you are going through this.
I miscarried at 8 weeks,a nd had to wait 2 cycles, my situation was a little different. They wanted the uterine lining to be a certain thickness and get back to normal. I had a D&C.

Thanks for all your well wishes. It is a little overwhelming!!!
Unfortuntely the midwife believes this is a miscarriage. I have to agree. The cramping has turned into (I guess) kind of strong contractions and the bleeding hasn't let up. She seems to think that I should miscarry naturally today. I have to go for a Beta Hcg level tommorow because I have a very strong family history of twins. There is the slighest chance.. I mean probably no chance... that I am miscarrying one twin and she needs to be sure. But all of my pg symptoms have left and I am am 100% sure this is not the case.
For those who miscarried before and didn't wait a full cycle before trying again... did you carry the pregnancy to term? Thanks for all the support. Between losing my grandpa last weekend and this I am more than a little emotionally spent.
I'm so sorry for your loss! I MC in February and know how you feel. I don't think you will O in a week or two, your body will still be recovering from the MC. You still have HCG in your blood, so your body isn't preparing an egg for this cycle. Thats why you'll have to wait at least one. Also, you want to be sure that your uterine lining is thick and rich for the baby so you don't want to rush your recovery. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss!
