I can't believe my maternity leave is over
I know others have gone through this so I could really use some support. I have to return to work tomorrow after 13 weeks home. I am sick to my stomach and can't stop crying. I am lucky that DS will be with my sister but I can't help but feel miserable, upset and really sad. I just want to stay home and raise my son.
I'll make it through tomorrow, right?

I'll be honest, the first week is the worst, BUT once you get your schedule down and things fall into a routine, everything will be fine.
And don't stress about not raising your son, you are!

...open the door to your office, make a left, open the door, walk down the hall, knock on the door and ask for a hug. I'll be there for you!
I promise you it will get easier.

I feel like I am reading my own words that I could've written last Monday. That is when I went back to work after being home with my DD for 13 weeks. I'm not gonna sugar coat it- it fucckin sucks. And my DD is with me all morning and then either with my aunt for 2 hours and then my husband for the rest of the night or I meet my husband and we swap the baby... it doesn't matter that family will be with the baby, it just hurts. I cried several time the day I had to go to work. Before leaving, during me leaving and at work. You will cry. BUT, it does get better. I think the anticipation of starting it makes it a lot worse. Now, with one whole week under my belt, I am still upset when I leave my DD everyday at 2pm and don't get home until 12:50am but I think of the fact that I get to wake up with her. Hang in there. You will cry but you won't cry forever. I know exactly how you feel!!

It S U C K S how this country views and handles maternity leave. It is not natural for a mother to have to leave her 3 month baby.

It takes awhile to get into a routine & then you'll start to love seeing his face light up when you pick him up and the crafts they do with him, etc.

You will make it through, it will be tough but you'll do it. And once you make it through, you'll come home and be able to give your baby lots of hugs and kisses. Good luck!

I don't know what it is like yet, but my time is going to come soon enough. I am sure you will be able to make it through & you will have something to truly get you through the day. Knowing you can see Aidan smiling when you get home, will keep you going
