I can't remember...babies at 5 weeks
I cant remember from when DD was this age, but how mich does/did your 5 week old sleep? I feel like mine wakes up, eats and falls back to sleep a lot immediately. Sometimes I get 1-2 hour stretches where she is awake. Does that sound normal?
Also, how much is your DC eating and how often? Mine DD is on breast milk...

I can't remember...babies at 5 weeks
Mine didn't. At 5 weeks he was crying 24/7. I think whatever your baby is doing is probably their normal. It varies so much that young.

My son is about 5 weeks right now...he is eating about 4 oz, 6-7 times per day. He has been staying up more often the last week or so...but he definitely is up for 1-2 hour stretches at a time, sleeps 2:30-3 hours at a time on average...sometimes he get closer to sleeping 3:30-4 hours but that's the rare stretch.

My son is 5 weeks and sleeps a lot during the day. Has times he is awake for 1-2 hour. But he takes cat naps a lot after eating. If he is in the car he falls asleep. Wakes every 2-3 hours at night to eat.
My two other boys where exactly like this. My middle son was awake the most during the day but slept a lot at night.

Mine slept, ate, pooped, repeated until 3 mo! There was a witching hour in there too around 6pm from about 1-3 mo though. Enjoy it!
