I created my own Christening Invitation-- Opinions, please

Hi,

Can you guys tell me what you think of this invitation. I made it from Vista Print. Do you think it looks stupid? Can you make out the wording?? I need some new prespectives, because obviously I know what I am reading, LOL

Thanks,
Denise

Adorable pic.. but I'm not really loving how the words are over the face..

It makes it hard to see what a cutie he is!

Maybe if you wanted to do something like that you could use cards that are sheer on top with cardstock under. I did something like this for DS and it came out very well.. and I made and printed them myself.

It's a very cute design, but I really am not a fan of the writing over the picture, you can't see the beautiful baby. As others suggested, if you can get the velum sheets to go over the card w/the picture, so the writing's not directly on the baby's picture, that would be good.

Or, you could move the text to the left & right sides of the photo, around the photo, KWIM? So text in the left "empty" space in the photo, then baby's body/face, then text to the right, if you need the room. Or crop the photo as mentioned above.

I LOVE the photo, but as pps stated, the wording takes away from your gorgeous son!

I would play with it a little more!

Awe, thank you ladies so much. I really appreciate your honest opinions and the compliments~! :)

I will play around with it a bit. I don't have a printer to do the overlay idea, I just wanted to order them online, so I think moving the words to the sides will be a good idea. I will play around with it and post an updated invitation! :)

Thanks so much once again.

I would rather see a smaller picture on the side of the writing, than the writing going across babys face.

I agree with everyone. No writing on the face. The color of the font also gets lost in the background of the photo. I would do the writing on the sides of the pic. Is the picture cut off at the top or is that just the way the picture is?

I like it but not crazy about the wording over the face. Could you maybe see how it would lay out - by moving the picture to the right and the writing on the left? Not sure how it would lay out you would need to play with it a bit.

It's beautiful and I agree I wouldn't write over the face. I would blurb out personal info though Chat Icon

Thank you. I found another pic. can you see it?? He had a sign next to him that I tried to distort out , but I think it looks stupid.. It is so hard to see becuase it is blurry due to LIF image resizer. Mabye I will just post a copy of the pic itself?
