I delivered my angel at 15 weeeks UPDATE Good Samaritan memorial service
I delivered my angel baby at 15 weeks at Good Samaritan. They do a memorial service and have a headstone and stuff at a cemetary. The letter came that the service will be this Saturday. Does anyone have experience with this? I want to go but didn't know what to expect. The hospital organizes everything and I assume there will be other people there that have had recent losses.TIA
UPDATE: I wanted to update this for others that deliver an angel baby at Good Samaritan. The nurses were fantastic and the care I recieved was very good. They organized for the baby to be blessed and presented me a box with her tiny footprints, a prayer card, a stuffed heart, etc. None of this comforted me at the time...but months have passed and I now cherish these things. They do memorial services at the cemetary twice yearly. Sweetpea's service was yesterday. The babies arrived in a small coffin in a hearst. The priest gave a comforting message, they played a beautiful song and each mom was givein a rose to place on the coffin. A nun read each babies name aloud and a moment of silence was observed. A nun also explained that the babies tiny bodies were cared for with reverence and each was dressed in a tiny handsewn bunting. There were about twenty sets pf parents there and many other family/friends for support. There is a headstone and now I have a place to visit my sweetpea. I just wanted to share this info so others would know what to expect. If you are reading this and you have suffered a loss...I am so sorry. I believe we will all be okay one day.

I got the same invitation. Its supposed to be a big prayer service of all families with losses. My husband is working and I don't know if I can do it alone. I'm sorry for your loss

I don't have any experience with this. I chose not to deliver my angel and I just wanted to let you know, that you are a far stronger woman than I am.
to you that you can find peace during this difficult time.

Re: I delivered my angel at 15 weeeks
I'm not sure, but is this also a burial?
We did a burial at a cemetary unaffiliated with the hospital and wrote our son letters that we put in the ground before they buried him. We found that very meaningful.
I'm so sorry you are going through this!!
