I did it! (BFing in public)
Call me a sinner, call me inappropriate, whatever you want, but I am SO proud of myself!! With Alex I was always too embarassed to BF in public, which made for a miserable experience everytime we went out, trying to strategize around her nursing sessions and where I would go for some privacy.
But last night, we went out for a walk, and then dinner, and when it was time for Yael to eat, I put on my little Bebe Au Lait, picked her up, and nursed her right at the table, and I don't think any other customer even noticed.
Wooooohooo!!

its a liberating feeling! The first time I did it with Josh I felt like I got my life back.
I will be bringing a hooter hider to the hospital with me and its the only way #2 is going to know how to nurse. Josh never let me cover his head and with size G's made for indecent nightmares
way to go!

I'm hoping whenever I have #2 I'm more comfortable doing that. It was REALLY restricting the other way! What is the thing you used to cover up??

I swear, this is the most laid back baby on earth, it didn't even phase her when I pulled it over her head - as long as she eats on demand, and gets her diaper changed routinely, she's a happy little critter

It's called a Bebe Au Lait - two of my friends who nurse recommended it, and I absolutely LOVE it!

Isn't it so liberating?
I remember fondly the first time I did it with Dylan. I also was very hesitant to do it with Jeremy but I really had no choice with Dylan if I wanted to leave the house!
ETA: I also credit Nursing in Public (AKA NIP  ) to my still nursing my almost 1 year old! I really don't see an immediate end in sight since it is so easy!

I was going crazy working around schedule and being stuck in the house!

that's awesome!
i had the same experience bfing ds1, trying to work around his schedule and being out but w/ ds2 i actually did it at the zoo on a bench! i'm not goingto say i liked it but heck we have to get out right!
