I am NOT experienced at baking/cooking AT ALL ....... So although it may look complicated, it was the easiest recipe in the world! 
You make 2 cakes in 8 inch pans (you can use a mix) ....... frost the top of the bottom layer, put the top layer on, frost the ENTIRE cake (make sure you get the sides good so the kit kats stick) .. Put the kit kats around the cake, pour m&ms on top, tie the ribbon around, and DONE!  EASY!!! It was BIG hit when I brought it to a family dinner last night too!!

How do you even eat that? Do the slices fall apart or do they stay in tact? I would think the m&ms would spill all over...

It actually wasn't bad at all!!! Some m&ms fell but it wasn't a big deal.... most stayed on!
