The onset was very short for DS. A bad 2 days with high fever. Refused food even cheerios so I knew something was wrong. The blisters were in his throat. I could not see them. The PED had to look for it.

I have heard of up to 2 weeks for some children.

DS has it now....he had a temp Sunday and Monday and we went to the ped today and she showed me the blisters. Had she not shown me, I would never have seen them. The only thing I saw was a big red circle in the middle of his tongue.

DD has is also right now:( The dr. only saw one sore on her throat. The dr. also said that not all cases result in blisters on the hands and feet. I would bring her just to be safe - it's contagious.

The blisters can even be in her throat and/ or very hard to see. If I remember correctly NO binky and I would throw out all her old ones. This might be the time to seize the opportunity to wean her.

I hope she feels better soon.
