Re: I Don't Know Where to Start...
I am so sorry for your loss Christine. Like everyone said, speak from the heart and you will be fine. The eulogies that touch me the most are the ones that remember the good times with specific memories. Just an idea to get you started.

Re: I Don't Know Where to Start...
I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss
I find if you look inward, think of what kind of man he was...the words will just come to you

I am so sorry to hear about your loss
My suggestion is to just pour your heart out and share every memory you have of him

Re: I Don't Know Where to Start...
Sorry for your loss.
Here's some things to think about to help you brainstorm.
what were the things your uncle was/did that people think of as being "him?"
a funny story about your uncle that a good number of people willl "get" and might bring a laugh
what would your uncle want to be remembered as?
what was important to your uncle?
if he could send a message to those grieving his loss -- what would it be?

Re: I Don't Know Where to Start...
Ladies - thank you so much for your support, feedback and advice.
I will be working on the eulogy tomorrow and Friday for Saturday's funeral.
I really appreciate everything so much.

Re: I Don't Know Where to Start...
I am sorry about your loss and send my very best wishes to you and your family. If you are nervous about the eulogy, please keep in mind that you can't really "go wrong" -- people will be grateful to hear words from the heart, and they won't care if your message is simple and emotional.I think, too, that listeners will be grateful for moments when they can laugh (well, at least chuckly gently) when hearing fond memories and relatable stories.
Again, my best wishes. You can't go wrong.
