I would NEVER!!!
I actualy had quite a few wear it to y wedding! I was so ecstatic the day of that I didn't even notice it but I sure heard about it afterwards! Many people were appalled by it and I was kinda pisssed after the fact!

i invited one of my friends to my brothers wedding (just the ceremony) and she showed up wearing white  i was so upset! of course she was the only one there in white and she was MY guest i was mortified.
to her credit though it was her 1st American wedding and i dont think she knew any better

i would never wear white to someones wedding. although at my wedding, one of my parents long time friends wore a long white dress with white stockings and white heels of course i didn't say anything.

I wouldn't do it, but I wasn't concerned about anyone wearing white to my wedding. Though I did joke that if anyone showed up in white my maid of honor was to promptly through cranberry or grape juice all over them 
I actually had a guest wear the same exact color and length dress as my bridesmaids! That was even worse because in all the pics it looks like she was a bridesmaid. It was such an obscure color too. I personally always try to find out what color the girls are wearing so I don't match them.
