I feel like a house!!!!!
I'm 23 weeks and 1 day and I feel huuuge, I know I'm not huuge but I feel like i've gained all this weight and its not all belly!!! I gained 5 pounds last month and now I think I've gained another 5 this month. I'm up a total of 18 pounds And not to mention these last 5 pounds I literally gained in the past two weeks !!!!!! I feel like there is no stopping it, I was normal weight and height to begin with and I'm just sooooo insanely worried to lose it all afterwards...I do have issues with the scale and weight and I'm a bit obsessive about it...tell me I won't gain a massive amount of weight and it'll be easy to take off

Its more the number on the scale, its like where is the weight going bc my belly isn't huuuge by any stretch of the imagination, so my thinking if its not going to the belly its going everywhere else that will be harder to lose after the baby

Re: I feel like a house!!!!!
I hate getting on the scale too. I had a huge weight gain between 16 and 21 weeks. I think it was partially due to a growth spurt, but I'm nervous that the large weight gain will continue throughout the pregnancy. I stopped weighing myself every day b/c it's depressing.
I also feel like I have a huge belly. I'm not looking forward to obnoxious stranger comments that most pregnant women seem to get.
I'm definitely concerned about losing the weight, especially since I was at my heaviest weight before getting pregnant. Even if I lose all the weight, I know pregnancy completely changes your body and things will probably fit/look differently.

My sister took a picture of me with her new i phone today and when she showed it to me I was like "DELETE!!!!" I swear, I looked HUGE, not just pregnant. I think I have gained 14 pounds so far.

Re: I feel like a house!!!!!
wait....my book says that you are supposed to gain 29-35 pounds. If you only gained 18.....then you should probably be eating a cupcake

Re: I feel like a house!!!!!
Oh I know what you mean, I feel like a whale lately.
Somebody mentioned I'm starting to waddle. I can't wear my wedding ring anymore! It feels so tight and even my maternity pants are starting to feel tight!! :P
UGH! At 23.5 weeks, I'm now at 19 lbs. over my original weight!
At least you got some height to spread the weight, I'm only 5' tall. :P

All you can do is eat well and get some exercise if you're up to it. The rest is out of your control. Everyone's body is different and will gain different amounts of weight throughout pregnancy. Don't get to upset about it, you're growing a baby.......not getting fat. You will be fine.
EDIT - The weight gain isn't fat that's going to your thighs........your body is retaining more water, your blood volume is increasing by as much as 40-50% to support the pregnancy, you have a baby inside of you gaining weight, you have a placenta that is adding weight, and so on. It's just part of the process.
