OMG how awful, but how did he get these children alone? I'm always in the room with my DC and there's usually a nurse too. I thought that was general practice?

i dont want to blame the parents, but why on earth was he alone with the children??
ETA: these kids obviously werent alone with him for a minute or 2...it must have been a good amount of time. how did this go on for so long????

OMG that is just AWFUL. 
This quote I guess explains how he got the kids alone.

Just don't know why over 100 parents allowed it.

I read an article online that provided more details of what that monster did to little girls my DD's age and I am literally sick. I am dying inside thinking of those poor innocent babies being hurt like that.

that is absolutely horrific.
it's so sad that he would use his prominent position in the community to commit such evil crimes. it makes me sick when crazy people manage to find their way into positions (in our schools, our churches, our doctors' offices, etc) that put them into contact with our kids. SO scary.
but i have to say that i agree with lipglossjunky - i think this is an example of having WAY too much trust in your ped.
i trust my ped to do his JOB, which is to provide appropriate medical care for my child - nothing less and nothing more. it's absolutely NOT his job to "play" with my child, especially not ALONE!

I thought the same thing.. there has never been an instance where the doctor or nurse was alone with my child. I am always there. The single exception to me not being there was during Robbie's surgery. But I was there when they put him under and there when he woke up.

I just want to throw up. I'm so disgusted. I don't want to blame the parents neither, but WTH were they thinking of leaving their babies alone with this sick bastid!!!!!!!!! Some say they trusted him, he was a doctor, but he's not ***** God!!!!!!! And even if he was God, I still wouldn't leave my baby alone with him!!!! This is so disturbing. I can't believe that some of the victims were as young as 1MONTH OLD
I hope they put him in general population and they beat the ever loving h e l l out of him

Me too. I would NEVER ever leave my child alone with a doctor and when they are teenagers I will make sure they understand that there should always be a nurse present.
It's horrible and these parents must be so distraught.

You know...there was one in LI not too long ago. He no longer practices - he had a very large practice in Bellmore and I remember when that all went down. He was doing exams on girls that should have been done by an gyn at the proper age!
