I feel so plain..
reading all these posts about makeup I just feel so plain! lol I own mascara, lip gloss, one set of eyeshadow, BB cream and I just recently bought a bronzer and that's it! I could imagine how much makeup you ladies have and I am so the opposite!
Can someone post their make up kit...just for fun. I have to see!! TIA

I don't have pictures, but I went to Sephora last week and they told me with that purchase I qualified for "rouge" status. they said tat's like the Gold Card of Sephora.
So, yay for free shipping, but OMG, how did I spend $1K on makeup in 9 months. 
And that's not including MAC, drugstore & online.
I really don't even have a large collection. It think it was newfound love for Hourglass which is expensive, and my indecisiveness with foundation. I have about 6 in rotation right now.
But trust me, I feel pretty plain most of the time!

oh my....if I posted my artillery, you all would thing that i'm batsh!t crazy!!! I collect so much junk, I would bet half of it is expired by now lol I'll post a pic when I get home tomorrow :)
There's nothing wrong with being plain. I feel obsessive sometimes. I wish I was more content with being natural.

Plain is when you wear nothing at all.
If you saw my clothing collection, and my hair extension collection  , and the way I come to work everyday you would never say I was plain.
But I was never big into makeup.
I need it- so I do wear it. BB cream, some Bare Minerals foundation over that, some blush, eyeliner on the lower lid, mascara, fill in my eyebrows with a powder, lip gloss.
That's it.
Not much more than you. I NEVER EVER wear eyeshadow. I don't know how to apply it right and it always looks stupid on me. Plus I have hooded lids so you can't see it anyway.

I would not feel plain, but rather well edited. I mean how many eye shadows and lipsticks do you actually wear?
I have the following makeup in my arsenal:
Lancome Visionare Syrum (fantastic for evening out uneven pores)
Lancome Moisturizer (they discontinued my favorite so I am trying out a few of them. My last one was Este Lauder but I don't think I am going to get it again)
Marc Jacobs Foundation
Sephora Blush
Lancome Mascara (just got rid of a Loreal as it runs too much for me)
I have two eye shadow palates, a free one from Lancome and the purple set from Marc Jacobs.
I have about 3 lipsticks and 4 lip glosses.
I also have an eye primer that was the birthday gift from Sephora. When it runs out I plan on getting it again.

I feel so plain..
I am pretty basic and I get a lot of compliments how my skin looks good with very little makeup
foundation I use Clinique perfectly real foundation
blush Clinique chestnut blush
eyeshadow butrals from Clinique
lipstick-mac and amway gloss
chanel brown eyeliner and clique natural mascara in black
loose powder from Clinique.

I dont consider that plain either.
My coworker dosent wear an OUNCE of makeup and i dont consider that plain. i consider that lucky! :)
I could NEVER do that and feel confident about myself and walk out of my house.
With that being said- i have way too much makeup and I always feel like i wear not enough or sometimes too much.
Never a happy medium.

I have a lot of make up but always end up using the same stuff. I'll experiment with a new color - hate it - and then it sits in the drawer until I feel like experimenting again. LOL
My tried and true:
Face - Smash Box Photo Finish Primer, BareMinerals Matte Foundation and Bronzer
Eyes - Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, Naked Palette, Naked Palette 2 and Naked Palette Matte. I mix and match the colors depending on where I'm going. I also use black liquid eyeliner on upper eye lid and line my lower inside lid with black pencil.
Lips - This is where my collection gets crazy. I have a million different nude/pink glosses. Sometimes I'll mix them together.

My daily look its no makeup, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner and a little lipgloss.
When I do the full makeup thing it's b/c I'm going out on the town or to some party/function.
I use chafing gel as primer, NARS concealer in honey, then medium shade shu uemura loose powder.
I put NARS deep thoat blush, urban decay eyeliner and shu uemura hard formula eyebrow pencil. Finally a little bit of NARS Stella lipgloss.
I'm not really into mascara, but I'll curl my lashes with the end if a bic pen cap.
If it's a wedding, I'll put on NARS eyeshadow. I am also really liking MAC eyeshadows b/c they are so pigmented and have great styling power!

I dont think thats plain at all! I wear makeup but I do mine pretty natural. On the daily, I use- Aveeno moisturizer, Age Rewind concealer for under my eyes or blemishes, photo finish translucent powder, Smashbox bronzer, For my eyes- Smashbox eyeliner, Telescopic mascara and a Bobbi Brown natural matte eyeshadow that's basically the color bone and a little darker brown in the outside corners. I also fill in my eyebrows where I think they need it. Sounds like a ton of crap but it looks pretty natural
When I go out or have an event, I step it up a bit with more dramatic makeup. I had bought a kit from Smashbox for brown eyes that I love and use for these kinds of things.

I know--I didn't realize it was so much until they told me. I am not usually a big spender on clothes, bags, etc.
I am trying to just use this stuff up & not buy anything else for a while.
A few of these things I did use up & re-purchase--on of the pressed powders broke right after I bought it & I loved it so I re-purchased.
It's mostly face stuff, so not that exciting, but since you wanted to see; here is my list from Sephora's website.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
I have been eyeing that forever but wasn't sure it was worth it.
Does it really work??
I use this setting spray and I really like it. I usually put it on after I am done with all my makeup, except mascara. I have heard model in a bottle burns your eyes.
