I forgot how bad it was to be off BCP

Between my face looking like I'm 13 and the HORRIBLE mestrual cramps...I now remember why I went on the pill.

I've never had this many pimples in my life! My skin is horrible right now. And my cramps are so bad the pain is making me sick to my stomach. I'm also getting headaches every single night.

And as bad as this is...I know I need to suck it up because pregnancy isnt going to be a walk in the park either

hopefully this is just a really bad month since its the first AF since coming off BCP.

I hope you feel better soon! I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but I think some people say that the acne is really bad when you first come off BC, but that it will ease up. If not, I would try some proactive, I have heard great things about it.

For the cramps, mine are always less painful when I am working out consistently. There was a few months last spring that I was consistently jogging and doing pilates or yoga and my cramps were really better. I really need to start that up again!

I think BC really masks a lot of the symptoms, so coming off it, you really have to find more natural ways to keep yourself feeling human.

oh hon, I hear ya. I thought I had forgotten what cramps felt like....but oh boy when they came back it was all too familiar. By my second cycle it really wasn't that bad. Hang in there!

The worst part for me was not knowing exactly when AF would come! I was so used to getting it like clockwork that it drove me crazy trying to figure out when she would arrive!!

the first cycle is always the worst. i prefer a little acne and some cramps than dangerous hormones. i am never going back on.

I totally feel the same way! I feel like such a disaster! lol I'm on month 2 after going off BC and I hope it gets better from here

man I know how you feel!
I was put on BCP when over 18yrs ago for cramps and all that fun stuff (turn out to be endometriosis) but each month since Ive been off seems to get worse & worse (its going on 4months off)
side note what helped me with breakouts is this fruit juice Ive been drinking (I swear it has helped! I alway had bad break out & would have to go to the dermatologist for cystic zits I started to drink this stuff and my break out a at a minimum!)

biggest complaint w/af is the shear exhaustion and fatigue I can handle everything else most of the time

I look like a teenager breaking out horribly from acne.
