It depends on how big the system is. LIPA pays for half, NY gives you $5k, and the Fed gives you 30% of the what's left.
We have a very big system (8100 kW), and we'll have to foot about a $19k bill after everything. A system half the size would be roughly half that price. There's roughly an 8-9 year return on investment, with a 25 year warranty on the panels.
Wow that is even more than I expected!

Today was a gorgeous day with tons of sunshine. We generated 37.41 kWh of power today! Looking forward to getting in the 40s!

I decided not to post EVERY day that was a new high for us, but Easter Sunday we broke 40 kWhs!
