I got an infection after my D&C
I cannot believe that 7 weeks after my D&C that I was so unlucky and got an infection :( Ughhhhhhhh, it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. It started with some light cramping and it slowly got worse and worse. By the 4th day it was mostly on my left side and I was doubled over and could barely stand up. I really didnt know what was up, I thought maybe a cyst. I went to the doctor and had a sono done and they said my tube was very swollen and they think I have an infection. Either from bacteria or any "stuff" that got left behind after the d&c. Weird thing is I took 14 days of antibiotic after the d&c and I had a follow-up sono to make sure everything was out.
So I guess this nasty infection spread up into my left tube which is where it hurt the most, but pretty much my whole lower belly hurt very bad and I had night sweats and could not sleep :( Oh and there was a bunch of fluid and stuff in my uterus which eventually came out (sorry tmi but I want to give you girls the details incase this happens to anyone).
So I was a mess and I took pain meds and 2 antiobiotics and it started feeling better after 2 days but I am still like  - how did this happen 7 weeks after the fact????? Has anyone heard of this? Ughhhhh, I am glad it is over but I am worried about my tube now.
Oh and also they took a pap on me and took my blood to rule out ectopic but he is pretty sure it was an infection. I do have a follow up appt and am also seeing my new RE this week. I hope all is ok down there. I just feel like this is the last thing I needed

Eeeek. Glad you went to the Dr. Before it got any worse. Make sure to drink plenty of water! So sorry that this happened to you on top of everything else.

Do you girls find this to be odd or no? This much later in the game? I have another dr. I am seeing my RE and she is skeptical, she worries it is something else that has been manifesting for a long time.
Anyway thanks for your support.

It has been 11 days since my infection and my tube is still super swollen, ugh. I am not in alot of pain but according to my sonos I have a huge sausage of a tube and may need surgery
