i hate my car dealership

sure... FREE Oil changes every 3 months... but they always seem to call me about 'SOMETHING'

they're telling me I need a brake flush... and my battery (cleaned?) i remember paying for a brake flush not too long ago.

How old is this car? I have NEVER heard of getting your battery cleaned!

don't fall for it. Bring it somewhere for a 2nd opinion if you think it's that important

something like there is a lot of corrosion on the battery? I can't remember what the exact words were.

I would bring it to a mechanic but:
1. I'm too lazy

2. I'm too lazy.

lol

Get a list of what you supposedly need and then take it to a trusted mechanic. I bet you that most, if not all of it, needs to be done! If it does, then get it done through the mechanic and make sure you have a receipt for it on file so that you have proof that you maintained your car properly, should you ever sell (or if it's a lease).

What the heck is a brake flush? And you dont need to get your battery cleaned - SCAm to get your money...run far away from that place....Dont care if the oil changes are free.

Dealer ship services are one of the biggest rip offs....Even if you come in for a free oil change, they are going to try to sell you every type of service, because that is how the service writer makes money...He gets commission.

I always tell people, after you buy the car....dont bring it back to the service department unless it is for a recall.

I worked for 2 different dealers in the service dept in the past....I never bring our new cars back to the dealer unless it is for a recall or warranty work.

if there is corrosion, you can see that yourself..... the battery is always in an obvious place... just remove the red and black snaps, and look at the battery... no crud? then your fine. Crud? Then you should probably replace it.....

I agree, they're 'finding' stuff. go to a different dealership / shop

Corrosion on the battery posts can be easily taken care of by you or your husband. Goto the auto parts store and buy a wire brush....I think they even make a brush that slides over the post and it cleans the area....

Its a $2 fix that will cost you a lot at the dealer...and this is what they do there.

I feel so stupid. Lets hope I'm not too late. I already gave them permission on the *battery*.. with my luck they'll say they already did it.
