If you like Pottery Barn they tell you exactly what colors they used in their catalogue. I wound up using many of their colors in my house and I love it!

I know what you mean!! I painted my living room 3 different colors before I found a shade I liked, and I bought countless samples to find the right shade of mauve/rose/pink/cranberry for my hallway.
We're currently painting our kitchen and honestly, once I knew I wanted beige it was the easiest choice in the world because I just did a search for BM on this site and from the 834752971987345 different colors posted, Adobe Beige won out. Miraculously, I made the decision in 5 minutes and now that the color is on the walls I ***LOVE*** it.
