My family loves tent camping. We all went when DS was 10 months. Our tent was big enough for a pack n play and our air mattress. If your DC will stay in it I suggest bringing the PNP. ALso they make a little fan/light device to hang in tent (Walmart) which was AWESOME on the humid nights plus you could see if you had to change a diaper. I also had a BIG pot (family chili pot) to bathe him in with warm water because he was still crawling. Since your DC is older then don't forget SHower Shoes!

Have a GREAT Time!! Remember you can always pick up diapers or soap when you get there.

Besides all the other suggetions here are some things I always take with me when I go to the country:
bug spray
bug netting for stroller
Johnsons washcloths (maybe easier for showering)
disposable sippies in case you cant wash his cups out.
crocs for the mud/wet grass

I just got back from camping...we never had to bring so much. Sheets, extra sheets for when they get peed or vomitted on. If you are staying in a rental, foam mattress cover and hypoallergenic matress protector....mostly to protect you. Towels for showers, extra towels for showers for when they get dropped in the mud. Towels for swimming. Bug spray. Citrinella candles. Paper plates, plastic utensils, barbecue supplies, good sharp knife for cutting meat. Dish soap, woollite. Lots and lots of antbacterial wipes. Toilet paper. Paper towels. Groceries. Snacks. A plastic table cloth. If you are staying in a rental with bring febreze, lysol, and sheets to cover any furniture. If there is a lake or beach...rafts for everybody.

We had an awesome time camping. But holy sh@# loaded up the car.

We will have the eating thing covered since its a festival. Last year I brought everything Cailen owned and will probably do the same this year.... He goes through more outfits than Paris Hliton.....
