I have A Queation - Italy Related
If you know someone going to Italy and they asked what would you like from Italy for your DC what is it that you request? Are there any thing in particular that you want that is very rare here in the State?
Thanks!

Clothing for me or a woven blanket. Their styles are different and usually better quality too.
My mom went to France for week in April and brought back 2 beautiful outfits for DS. One lime green linen outfit (which will be big and she will never wear ) and this gorgeous white linen sleeveless dress that has a faux lace up back and a white embroided vine all over the dress. Plus it is lined in cotton. I can not wait to get that on her. For DS she got an adorable 3 piece outfit but he has only worn the sweater so far.

If you are having a naming ceremony or baptismal, there is nothing like a homemade gown from Italy IMO....

I was thinking of asking for DD christening gown. I heard they beautiful christening outfits which are of excellent quality. I would also prefer it to be very unusual.

I wish I had pics of my friends..... hers was incredible (better than my wedding dress!) and so unusual. I'll ask her if she has pics.....

I would suggest clothing as well. DH's parent's returned from Italy a few weeks ago with a beautiful outfit and booties for the baby. I swear the quality is like nothing you can find here.

Re: I have A Queation - Italy Related
although i agree about the beauty and quality of the clothing, i would request something with a little more lasting quality (that can be used more than once).
i don't know how close the person is to you, but i'm leaning more towards jewelry or something special for the nursery. maybe a special cross for the baby's room.

I would most definitely say that you can get all types of "european" baby clothing at Century 21 for a much cheaper price. US quality is much better, unless by Italian you mean Dolce and Gabbana!
