Awww- So sorry it will rain. But ya know what- it'll be something to make the story when you tell Lucas all about his 1st Bday. Kinda like when kids are born during a horrible snow storm or when it rains on someone's wedding day, ya know? You can tell him about how it poured, thundered, etc- and how you and DH put up the lights, etc.
It'll be fun!!! Just remember- its all about Lucas's 1st birthday- and regardless, it'll be fun!!!!

Now that you got all psyched up for a rainy day, the sun will be shining!
You know that you will have a perfect party since it is the day that Lucas turns one!!!! It is the best day ever, weather not withstanding.

I'm so glad you have. I've learn the past few years not to stress about things that I cannot control. No matter what, it's going to be GREAT and Lucas will look back on pics and see all the love and FUN!!

HEY! You and I are in the same boat!
We're having a big party for my baby Sarah tomorrow - 40 adults and 15 kids in my TEENY TINY house Of course we have a really nice big backyard I was expecting to enjoy - but thank goodness we have a tent too with sides.
I have been praying all week the weather turns - it has before and it can again!
But I too am trying to keep prospective - in the grand scheme of things, the weather should not and cannot ruin your day - it's all about your little boy turning ONE that everyone is celebrating with you!! ENJOY IT

I keep checking this because Lily's 1st birthday party is tomorrow too, and I'm afraid to check the weather report!
We were hoping it'd be outside...but oh well!
My cousin's son's first birthday party was outside - their house would not hold all of the people they invited...and it poured for the first few hours of the party. Everyone partied under the tent, the kids danced in the mud, and eventually the rain stopped. But it was still a great party.
Fingers crossed for us both tomorrow!!
