I hope this makes some of you feel better regarding your DC and SPEECH.
I see so many posts about speech development and people being concerned.
I was so upset when my sons weren't speaking like others their age. I know they are boys, and boys tend to be slower than girls...but it still bothered me.
At 20 months they only said Mama, Dada, Ball, Up, Bye Bye, Hi....can't remember much else.
Then out of nowhere they just started speaking full sentences.
Now at almost 26 months, they don't shut up! They talk like they are 10 years old sometimes.
So try not to get yourself crazy if your kid isn't speaking when you hear others, every child is different.

ITA!!!
at 22 months, DS didn't even say mama or dada.
EI came in and did wonders with him.
At 4, in cpse, his speech goal is to identify the NOUN in the sentence!!! I can't even believe that he is reading and comprehending what he's reading and by the way, never shuts up

that helps. DS is 12 months and doesnt say a single time. no mama, no dada, no baba, nothing! It hurts b/c I seriously waiting to hear his voice!
