I knew the call was coming....swine flu & a few questions
so dc daycare has a confirmed case of swine flu in one of the rooms - a teacher- she is home and treating it.
so I get there this am and all the kids are in THAT room, they all meet in there (preschool) until the other teachers come in. SO FREAKIN' STUPID !!
my question is - do you think that is can spread quickly to DC's room, next door?
DC hasn't been vacinated for H1N1 nor reg. flu- waiting for it from dr.

I don't understand - if the teacher is home why does it matter what room they are in? Or do you mean the kids on her class are with your DS?

for me, it would depend on what the school is doing - did they sanitize every inch of the room?

When the swine flu went around DS's daycare last Spring, we immediately had the ped put him on Tamiflu. It made him irritable, but it did protect him then.

Chances are, if the teacher has it, he's already been exposed. You're most contagious the day before you're symptomatic apparently.
